 2012 Legislator of the Year Award

 In recognition of legislators who worked above and beyond on behalf of the Commonwealth’s business community, the Virginia Chamber of Commerce has created the Legislator of the Year Award to honor members of the Virginia General Assembly who championed pro- business issues and used their leadership in the legislature to strengthen Virginia’s economic competitiveness. This award recognizes legislators for their distinguished advocacy for the free enterprise system.

This year, the Legislator of the Year Award was presented to Senator Walter A Stosch. Senator Stosch was instrumental on numerous legislative proposals backed by the Virginia Chamber, including the “Fair and Open Competition in Government Contracting Act,” economic development incentives, research and development initiatives, and educational reform. Senator Stosch worked tirelessly to support the Virginia Chamber’s legislative agenda.

 

The Virginia Chamber applauds Senator Stosch for his commitment to free market principles and his willingness to take a stand for Virginia businesses.
